Once-a-Year Filing vs. Ongoing Tax Consultation

A once-a-year filing usually suffices forOngoing consultation genuinely pays for itself for
    • Salaried individuals with a single Form 16 and standard deductions.
    • Investors with modest, infrequent capital gains.
    • No business or freelance income.
    • Straightforward, stable income from year to year.
    • Anyone with capital gains across multiple asset classes in a year.
    • PMS investors generating a real annual stream of realised gains.

We calculate your tax under both regimes using your actual income and deductions.

    2. 2

      Capital-gains planning

Use the annual ₹1.25 lakh LTCG exemption, set off losses and time redemptions sensibly.

    3. 3

      Investment alignment

Tax-saving choices such as ELSS and NPS are chosen to fit your goals, not just the deadline.

    4. 4

      Filing coordination

We help consolidate capital-gains statements and work with qualified tax professionals for filing.

Before you invest: key things to check

    • •The new regime is the default — opt out deliberately if the old regime saves you more.
    • •Tax saving should never be the only reason to buy an investment or insurance policy.
    • •Keep records of every capital-gains transaction, including PMS trades.
    • •Tax rules change with each Budget — review your plan every year.

    FAQs

Frequently asked questions about Tax Planning & Consultation

If your deductions (80C, 80D, home-loan interest, HRA, NPS) are large, the old regime may still save tax. Otherwise the new regime's lower rates and ₹12 lakh rebate threshold often work out better. We compare both with your figures.

Gain harvesting means booking long-term equity gains up to ₹1.25 lakh each year to use the exemption. Loss harvesting means booking losses to set them off against gains. Both must be done carefully around exit loads and reinvestment.

Your own NPS contributions are not deductible under the new regime, but your employer's contribution of up to 14% of basic salary plus DA is deductible under Section 80CCD(2).
